"Whenever I start a new design I'm not 100% sure what the final outcome
will be. I like to step aside and let the piece evolve on its own,
trusting that the skills I've developed will guide me through each
stage. What I love most about the creative process is that even the most
well thought out piece can possess an element of surprise that adds an
extra dimension to the end result."
Embroidered textiles start with a visual idea with color and layout. Embroidery from the Bronze Age was discovered in Siberia about 4,000 years ago. Tattooing has been an important inspiration for embroidery designs.
