Re-entry Student Program - UC Berkeley Re-entry students are undergraduates 25 and older--this program helps students more fully engage in all the opportunities available at UC Berkeley

Coming to Cal later in life regularly includes overcoming adversity, and because the complexity that makes re-entry students (undergraduates 25 and older) such compelling applicants doesn’t magically disappear after admission, we work to support full engagement in the university and all it offers. For more than 30 years the Re-entry Program has served students who once deferred the goal of earning

a college degree. Re-entry students bring additional life and professional experience to Berkeley along with their age, ethnic, and cultural diversity that powerfully and positively impact our learning environment. Averaging around 1800 undergraduates, Berkeley re-entry students enrich our campus community as being particularly goal oriented, thoughtfully engaged, and personally invested scholars.
