Spent the weekend learning, listening, and connecting at the Stanford Neurodiversity Summit 2026.
So much of what was discussed connects directly to the work I do with gifted and twice-exceptional (2e) families: understanding the whole child, recognizing both strengths and challenges, listening to lived experience, and creating environments that respond to individual needs.
One of my biggest takeaways was that labels and test scores can give us useful information, but they never tell the whole story of a child. When we look beyond them, we can better understand how a child thinks, learns, experiences the world, and what they need to thrive.
I’m bringing home new ideas, resources, and perspectives to incorporate into my work with families at Navigator of Giftedness.
