Continuing on our Meet the Team series is our beautiful Vice President, Kaitlyn Lee! 🌸🫶🏻

Hi everyone! I grew up in the 626 area of SoCal and attended undergrad at SMU in Dallas, TX (where I fell in love with queso and tried some two-stepping). For fun, I enjoy singing, being crafty, thrifting, making new recipes, exploring new areas, and eating ice cream!

Meet our fantastic secretary in her 3rd year, Jennifer Hwang! 🌸😚

Hi everyone! My name is Jennifer. I'm excited to work with MCC again this year! :) Some random facts about me: I'm from Pleasanton, I did my undergrad here and majored in Nutritional Science-Physiology and Metabolism, I like to thrift and do little crafty things and discover new music and good food, and I have a fluffy orange cat who's been in the family since I was 10. =^-.-^=

Up next for introductions is our Director of Public Relations, Amy Ahn! 🤡🫠

Hi everyone! I’m Amy and I’m super excited to be your Director of Public Relations for MCC this year. I was born in South Korea but grew up in Alabama and Georgia. I attended UC Berkeley for undergrad (double bear out oct) and majored in Molecular and Cell Biology - Immunology. When I'm not in studying for school, I love to bake and to play random card games and board games that my friends and I can get our hands on. I also love going to cafes to study or chat so hit me up if you need any recs or ever want to explore with me! I’m an ice latte girl so unfortunately I’m not able to tell you about the other menu options.

Next on our board introductions is one of our newest board members and treasurer, Rachel Yoo!

Hi everyone! My name is Rachel and I'm super excited to serve as MCC treasurer for this academic year! A little bit about me: I'm originally from Orange, California and I went to UCLA for undergrad (go Socal!). When I'm not constantly studying for finals, I like to explore new restaurants (big foodie!), go to pilates, hang with my Squishmallow, and find bargain gems at Marshalls/TJ Maxx!

Starting off our board member introductions this week for ‘23-‘24 is one of our Co-Presidents, Amy Zheng! ✌🏻🤓

Hi! My name is Amy, a current third year attending UCBSO. I was born in NY, but moved to the Bay Area (Castro Valley) when I was four years old. I attended UCLA and that’s were I found out about optometry.

One of the most memorable club meeting was MCC’s first meeting of the year featuring Dr.Liu. Since then I’ve served on board, volunteered as myopia tech, and has fallen in love with everything contact lens and myopia control related!
