Meet Candice Pennington, Owner & Lead Instructor of Candice Meryl Dance Studio!

With 33 years of ballet experience and 22+ years as an educator, Candice brings a passion for dance and a deep commitment to helping children grow with confidence.

She teaches Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, and Jazz/Lyrical, combining strong technical foundations with joyful, age-appropriate instruction.

As a high school counselor, mother of two, and educator, Candice believes every child deserves to feel welcomed, valued, supported, and empowered.

Through dance, her goal is to nurture poise, discipline, creativity, self-expression, and a lifelong love of the arts.

MEET OUR TEAM!

Introducing Carly Sherbert! Carly Sherbert has been an educator since 2009, bringing experience in art, early childhood education, and nature-based learning. She holds a degree in Studio Art from Indiana University, a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, and Wilderness First Aid and CPR certification. She currently leads preschool and summer programs at Wind Dance Farm and Earth Education Center while co-owning Forest Shepherd Farm and Nursery with her husband, Greg.

A lifelong lover of dance, Carly trained in ballet, jazz, and tap as a child and has continued her tap education through advanced classes and ongoing study. In 2026, she assisted beginning ballet and tap classes and served as a substitute instructor at Dance Haven Collective. Carly is excited to inspire confidence, creativity, and a love of dance in every young dancer she teaches.
