Morgan County Schools is excited to welcome students back on Tuesday, August 18!

As a reminder, Pre-K and Kindergarten students at Widmyer Elementary and Kindergarten students at Pleasant View Elementary will have a staggered start. Families should refer to the letter sent home for their child’s specific start date.

Morgan County Schools is heartbroken by the tragic loss of one of our recent graduates. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the student's family, friends, classmates, teachers, and everyone whose life was touched by this loss.

During this difficult time, counseling and support services will be available for any Morgan County Schools student who would like to speak with someone.

As the countdown to a new school year begins, the Morgan County Schools Administrative Team has been hard at work during our annual Administrator Academy at Cacapon State Park.

These collaborative sessions provide an opportunity for our administrators to prepare for the year ahead, strengthen leadership, and ensure we are ready to provide the very best experience for our students, staff, and families.

A special thank you to CNB for generously providing lunch and for their continued partnership and support of Morgan County Schools.

Flyer for Read Aloud West Virginia celebrating 40 years with the headline, "Read to Kids." The flyer encourages community members to become volunteer classroom readers by stating, "Change the lives of children in your community by motivating them to read for fun!
