The Governor Livingston Highlander Booster Club held its 66th Annual Senior Athletic Banquet on Wednesday, May 27, honoring this year's Senior Athletes and Student Managers. At this annual event all senior athletes are recognized for their commitment to athletics and academics, and a few are selected for scholarships and awards.

Congratulations to all of our GL senior student-athletes who received scholarship awards in recognition of their unwavering commitment, dedication, and contributions to Governor Livingston High School athletics.

The Michael Suchena Scholarship Award, named for Michael Suchena, the first Athletic Director of GLHS, is given to one male and one female senior student athlete that typifies the best in sportsmanship and the ideals of leadership and fair play on and off the field. It was awarded to Max DiDonato & Kyra Polizzi. The Andrew Quek Scholarship Award , given to a Student Athlete Team Manager who has shown outstanding commitment over the years, was awarded to Braeden Tripp.

10 recipients (5 male & 5 female) received the Highlander Booster Club Scholarship. They were:

Notice of Regular Board Meeting

The Berkeley Heights Board of Education has announced a Regular Board Meeting scheduled for Monday, June 1, 2026. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m.
The meeting will open in Public Session and will immediately adjourn into Executive Session.

Public session is scheduled to reconvene at approximately 7:30pm.
The meeting will be held in the Governor Livingston High School Cafeteria, 175 Watchung Blvd., Berkeley Heights, NJ 07922.

Formal action will be taken.

Last week, the second graders from William Woodruff Elementary School got a special sneak peek at their future home, Thomas P. Hughes Elementary School! 🎉

From exploring classrooms and learning all about beloved Hughes traditions to teaming up with older student buddies, the day was packed with excitement, smiles, and new experiences. Students also had the chance to meet Principal Chris Derflinger (better known as Mr. D.!), play gym games with Mr. Sinko and overall enjoyed a warm welcome to the Hughes community.

It was a fun-filled day of learning, laughter, and new friendships, and our future Hughes students left excited to begin their next big adventure in BHPS next year! 🚀📚
