That's a wrap on the 46th Annual MEBCI Elementary/Middle School Band & Orchestra Festival! The first day was with 5 ensembles and hosted at Cresskill Middle/High School. The second day was with 3 ensembles and hosted at Bergenfield High School. Great job to all the talented students that performed!

We have so many people to thank!

Bravo - or should I say, Slava! ✨
Wonderful job to all the students who performed in the 2026 Bergen County High School Chorus & Band Festival Concert! It was certainly a musical night to remember.
Huge shout out to Ms. Anna Lilikas (Glen Rock High School) and Dr. Tyler Adel (Paramus High School) - two incredible conductors who graciously shared their high-level musicianship with the students.

‼️ATTENTION - PLEASE READ‼️
The Bergen County High School Band and Chorus Concert has been postponed to the snow date due to the poor weather. The concert will now be on Tuesday, January 20th at 7:30pm. Students in the band should arrive at 6:00pm, and students in the chorus should arrive at 4:45pm. The event will still be held at Paramus High School (99 E Century Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652).

The annual membership meeting held at Seasons in Washington Township will also be postponed. We are working with Seasons to get a new date which we will send to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.

The Music Educators of Bergen County, Inc. is proud to present the 2025-2026 Bergen County High School Band and Chorus Festival. We would be pleased if you would join us for this noteworthy event on January 18, 2026 at 3pm at Paramus High School. Anna Lilikas, Choral Director at Glen Rock High School in Glen Rock will conduct the chorus. The band will perform under the baton of Tyler Adel, Band Director at Paramus High School. MEBCI members may reserve up to 2 complimentary tickets to this concert. Additional tickets may be reserved ($10 per ticket).

A buffet dinner meeting for all county music educators and their guests will be held at Seasons in Washington Township following the concert (5:00 PM). The cost of this dinner for dues-paying members of MEBCI will be $25. The charge for guests will be $50. Checks should be payable to MEBCI and mailed to the Stacey Sassi (130 S. Washington Avenue, Bergenfield, NJ 07621).

You may reserve tickets for the afternoon concert and/or make reservations for the annual dinner meeting by submitting this form by Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

UPDATE:

Thank you again for your patience as we put together our information for our 2025-2026 year. We were working together with NJSMA to ensure that our calendars worked together to allow students to participate in all the opportunities that we both offer.

Now that we have resolved potential conflicts, I am prepared to release our full calendar. Please view our website at www.mebci.org for full audition information and updates.

I would also like to announce that the High School County Band Audition piece will be "Hounds of Spring" by Alfred Reed. Updated percussion information will be posted on Monday. Thank you to everyone who has assisted in reviewing the calendar and approving the high school band audition piece.
