FKA Martial Arts in Bergenfield, NJ is proud to announce the well deserved promotion of Kris Ramirez to Mataas Na G**o - Hagdan Tatlo (Senior Instructor- 3rd Degree) by Tuhon Apolo Ladra of iKALI - the Indigenous Art of Blade from the Philippines. This is a branch of the Pekiti Tirsia Kali lineage.

Mataas Na G**o (MNG) Kris has been training various martial arts for 36 years but she has connected passionately to the Filipino Martial Arts.

She has been a full time lead instructor at the Bergenfield Academy for 15 years and teaches group and private lessons for children from 4 years old and up and adults in her morning evening and weekend classes.

Developing and sharing her experience, she has traveled from Canada to Florida and from New York, to California and even the Philippines teaching and spreading the art.

Here at Filipino Kali Academy of NJ (FKA Martial Arts) and iKALI, we are privileged and honored to have her as a leader and to announce her promotion to her well deserved rank.

FKA Martial Arts would like to announce our newest G**o to the Bergenfield, NJ Tribe of iKALI.

G**o .recano started reaining at the Bergenfield Martial Arts under when he was 6 years old.

Although he paused his training when his family moved, he continued his training at our Filipino Kali Academy in Norwood, NJ for years and now again where it started so many years ago in Bergenfield, NJ.

This is truly full circle.

His dedication to seriously focus on teaching arrived as he started his Nursing Program at Rutgers. A time when most young adults stop their martial arts. In fact, he not only commuted to Rutgers for Nursing and back but he maintained close to full time hours at the academy.

Now as he starts his full time Nursing career, his journey is just getting started as he earned his G**o Rank at Tuhon Apolo's 60th Birthday Celebration at iKALI HQ in Maryland.

We are truly grateful for Tuhon's influence as G**o Maric would not be at this stage without his teachings.

We are so proud of you and know that you will train others to reach their potential while you continue to self develop into an even more World Class Instructor.

Mataas Na G**o Kris Ramirez is Head Instructor of and teaches kids 4 years old and up as well as amazing technical classes for Adults.

She is ranked as a KRU in Muay Thai and has a Black Belt Ranking in Tae Kwon Do. She has training with the Philippine National Judo team and experience in Combat Submission Wrestling under Erik Paulson.

She is a Mataas Na G**o under Tuhon and is available not just at her classes in Bergenfield, NJ but for workshops and seminars worldwide.
