NTI Day 1- Gym
Students will participate in daily warm-ups that are geared toward the 5 Components of Health as well as various non-locomotor and locomotor skills. Before starting, students should locate and determine their pulse rate… 3rd-5th only. Locate your pulse, have a parent time for 10 seconds as you count the number of beats you feel in 10 seconds. Multiply the number of beats by 6 to determine your current pulse rate per minute. Afterwards, begin the daily warmup checklist. Every stretch or activity for 10 seconds. Start with stretches ( feet together down, right over left, left over right, feet apart reach down to the floor, quad stretch right, quad stretch left, 10 sit-ups, 10 pushups, 3 10 second double arm planks, jog in place, high knees in place, run in place.
After the checklist is complete, predict whether your pulse rate will be higher or lower than when you first started. Try to explain to your parents why your answer is what it is. Locate your pulse rate the same way you did earlier and determine your pulse rate per minute. Congratulations, you got a nice, quick workout today!!!!!!!!!!!!Lets Goooooo!!!!!!!!
