Choose Ohio First STEM Scholars Program
Baldwin Wallace University offers an innovative success program to prepare students for careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Incoming students pursuing eligible Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) majors may apply. STEM Scholars receive holistic, academic and social support, resulting in a nearly 90% retent
ion rate. STEM Scholars will:
-gain hands-on experience early in their academic careers
-receive personalized coaching from a STEM Scholar Support Specialist
-learn how to build strong social networks engage with business leaders explore innovation and entrepreneurship through academic and project-based experiences
-complete an internship
-participate in academic and social events with other STEM Scholars
-have the option of residing in the STEM Living Learning Community (indicate this preference on your housing application)
-maintain good academic standing and earn a satisfactory grade point average. Eligibility
Incoming freshmen, transfer, adult and veteran students who have been admitted to Baldwin Wallace and are Ohio residents are eligible to apply. Underrepresented and first-generation students are encouraged to apply. Eligible majors include: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Neuroscience, Physics and Sustainability (Science and QA tracks). Application
The complete application consists of two parts: a student application and a nomination. Students and nominators may submit application materials by email, mail or fax as noted on their respective forms.
