Fall is FULL of things you can bring into learning!
You don't have to spend a fortune on classroom activities.
Collect leaves, pinecones, and acorns. Add cups, tongs, bowls, or scoops, and let the children explore.

Talk about colors. Sort by size. Count them. Compare textures. Make patterns.
One simple activity can turn into SO many learning opportunities.

And sometimes the things children enjoy the most don't cost us anything at all. ❤️

MEMBERSHIP Q&A 💬

“What happens when one of my staff members leaves?”

This is an important one.

Your membership seats belong to the CENTER, not to an individual employee.

So when someone leaves and you hire someone new, that seat can be used for your new staff member.

We know turnover happens in child care. Your training plan shouldn't fall apart every time your staffing changes.

Message ECTC about membership.

If you work with children, you KNOW you hear some things that you just can't make up.
Sometimes they're sweet. Sometimes they're hilarious. And sometimes you have absolutely NO idea where they came up with it!

So let's have a little fun today. What's the funniest thing one of your kiddos has said lately?

Share it in the comments. I think we could all use a good laugh today! ❤️

Teachers and directors, I need some ideas! 🍂

What is the ONE fall activity you do in your classroom that the kiddos absolutely love?

Painting with leaves? Pumpkin science? Nature walks? Apple activities? Sensory bins?

Share yours below.

Let's turn the comments into an idea bank everybody can steal from. 😉

IT'S HERE! 🎉

Our updated Children with Special Needs training is ready.

https://earlychildtc.com/courses/introduction-to-early-intervention-how-to-spot-a-need-and-where-to-turn-for-support-2/

I wanted this course to do more than check a required-training box. I wanted you to finish it understanding what to do when you notice a developmental concern in a real child, in a real classroom.

We'll walk through developmental monitoring, documenting concerns, talking with families, referrals to KEIS, service coordination, the IFSP process, and the important role child care professionals play along the way.

Practical. Kentucky-specific. Made for the people actually doing the work.

You can take it online through ECTC.

It's time for a very serious professional-development question. 😂

PUMPKIN SPICE 🎃 or APPLE C***R 🍎?

You only get to pick ONE for fall.

Tell me which side you're on!

Just a little reminder today...

We appreciate you. ❤️

Early childhood professionals do work that most people never fully see.

You comfort. You teach. You clean. You document. You answer questions. You solve problems. You love on little people. Then you come back tomorrow and do it again.

ECTC may provide the training, but YOU are the one taking that knowledge back into the classroom.

Thank you for what you do.
