🌳🏠 Happy Labor Day from The Treehouse Makerspace!
https://www.treehouseberea.com
Today feels like a particularly meaningful day to pause and reflect on the work we do—and on the little place we've built together.
The Treehouse Makerspace is truly a labor of love!
What began with a love of teaching, making, and working with kids has grown into a place where children can explore art, technology, engineering, robotics, creativity, and hands-on problem-solving in small, welcoming learning environments.
We believe children deserve opportunities to do more than simply consume the things the world puts in front of them.
We want them to create.
To take something apart and figure out how it works.
To get their hands dirty with clay or paint.
To weave, build, design, print, program, experiment, and invent.
To make mistakes and try again.
To follow an idea somewhere unexpected.
To discover that they are capable of creating something that didn't exist before they began.
That's at the heart of what we do.
Our experience working with students has shown us how valuable it is for children to have access to specialized skills, materials, and mentors—and how difficult it can be for schools and families to find those opportunities. So we've built The Treehouse to be a place where those experiences can happen.
Today, we're incredibly grateful for every family who has trusted us with their children, encouraged their creativity, signed them up for a class or camp, shared our programs with a friend, or simply cheered us on.
The Treehouse exists because of a community of families who believe that children deserve places to explore, create, build, and become confident makers.
So on this Labor Day, we're celebrating the work—and we're especially grateful that we get to do work that we love.
Thank you for being part of The Treehouse Makerspace.
Here's to raising a generation of creators, builders, artists, engineers, innovators, and curious thinkers!
With gratitude,
Greg (Mr. C), Sarah (Mrs. C) and Norah!
