IB Diploma Core Presentations

Last night our Sr IB Diploma students presented their core projects. Each IB Diploma student must complete their core components over two years. These consist of the Extended Essay, CAS project and experiences as well as the Theory of Knowledge Exhibition and Essay. These core component scores work toward their Diploma score. Our students have worked tirelessly to complete these requirements and we are very proud of them! Thank you to the staff at Crystal Bridges for providing this gorgeous location!

IB Shadow Days ‘26

The past two days were filled with smiles and lots of learning as 9th and 10th grade students shadowed our International Baccalaureate classes and Diploma students. Students explored IB content in Biology, Physics, English, Spanish, Chinese, French, History, Psychology, World Religions, Business, Math and Theatre. Our Diploma students shared about the IB Core and all it takes to be successful as a Diploma Candidate.

IB Diploma cohorts recently worked collaboratively on their Theory of Knowledge activity-Language and Perception. In this activity students focused on the role of interpretation and how language influences that. TOK is one of the IB Core components of the Diploma. Students spend 150 hours over two years exploring knowledge and its tolerances in our lives.

Congratulations to our IB Diploma Sr, Caroline Sanders for this honor! We are proud of you!

Caroline Sanders was recently chosen to be National Speech and Debate Association Academic All American.

The Academic All American Award recognizes high school students who have earned the degree of superior distinction (750 points), completed at least five semesters of high school, demonstrated outstanding character and leadership, and earned a GPA of a 3.7 on a 4.0 scale.

Caroline joins 28 former and current BHS Speech and Debate team members who have the honor of being named Academic All American.

IB Mathematics students have been busy the start of this school year! They created and built carnival games in their defined learning project using theoretical versus experimental probability.
