Greetings from Japan! 🇯🇵
Brightwater and NorthWest Arkansas Community College students recently explored culinary traditions and food culture across Japan during the Study Abroad Program, with experiences in Tokyo, Yamagata, Kyoto, and Osaka.
Throughout their trip, students engaged in immersive learning opportunities including visits to Toyosu Market, tea culture experiences, mochi pounding, regional cuisine and cultural hospitality, and traditional culinary activities while connecting with chefs, local communities, and industry professionals.
A big thank you to Hitoshi Hokamura, Agriculture Minister Norikazu Suzuki, and all of our hosts and partners in Japan for helping create such a unique and memorable experience for our students.
