A huge Wildcat Welcome to Coach Bonner, our new Head Volleyball Coach! Washington Jr High Volleyball
Coach Bonner is excited to join Washington Junior High School as the Head Volleyball Coach and return home to Northwest Arkansas. She brings several years of coaching experience at both the school and club levels, along with a passion for developing student-athletes on and off the court.
Most recently, Coach Bonner spent two seasons at Little Rock Central High School as the Varsity Assistant Coach and Junior Varsity Head Coach. During her first season, she served as the acting head coach while Head Coach Markie Alberikus was on maternity leave. During her time at Central, she helped develop highly competitive athletes, assisted in leading daily practices, coached junior varsity competition, and played an important role in building the culture of the volleyball program.
In addition to her high school coaching experience, Coach Bonner spent two years coaching club volleyball with Elite Volleyball Academy, working with athletes across multiple age groups alongside some of the top coaches in Arkansas. Before joining EVA, she coached national-level teams for Arkansas Select Volleyball, gaining valuable experience developing players of varying backgrounds, skill levels, and abilities.
Prior to returning to Arkansas, Coach Bonner served as the head varsity volleyball coach at a high school in South Dakota and previously spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Little Rock Southwest High School. She has also coached several other sports throughout her career, giving her a well-rounded perspective on athlete development and leadership.
Coach Bonner believes that great programs are built on trust, accountability, hard work, and genuine relationships. While she loves competing and pursuing excellence on the court, her greatest passion is helping young athletes build confidence, character, and leadership skills that will serve them long after their playing days are over. She is excited to begin this next chapter at Washington and looks forward to building a program that families, athletes, and the community can be proud of.
