**Dear parents**
Weekend school and the students are excited to welcome **Ramadan **. We are planning an event on March 12 , 2023 for the parents and the students the details are as follows.

The theme of the event will be:
**“ Celebrating Ramadan around the World“**.

We will be ***requesting the kids to dress in their traditional dresses of their heritage**from across the world.

The plan of activities will be as follows:

Kids will come at their normal hours for the school (10:00).

10:00 -12:00 , kids and teachers will be working on crafting ,decorating mosque , & refreshments setup.

**12pm- 1:00 Parents are invited to join **
- Imam Hamed will be our guest speaker & will be speaking about the importance of the month of Ramadan for muslims.

All of the teachers and administrators at the Weekend School will really appreciate your participation in the event as a Parent.

Dear Parents,
Starting next week February 6th parents will have the opportunity to schedule in advance (based on availability) between 1:00- Duhur Salah p.m (before Zuhur prayers) an in-person meeting with their child’s teachers if needed. The **deadline each week will be Thursday before following Sunday**(e.g. for Sunday 2/12 deadline will be 2/9).

If you have any concerns or questions about your child’s education please feel free to reach out directly on WhatsApp to coordinate availability for the week or following week.

Last Saturday, we had our first BIC Weekend School Chat.
The primary goal of this event was to involve parents in the goals and vision of the Weekend School for the students and community.
Following the talk by our Principal, Sr.Yosra Helal, the parents met with the teachers to discuss the curriculum followed and various ways to help children help with their study of the Islam.
All the while, the kids were entertained by activities led by our amazing volunteers! 💞
