ANNOUNCING OUR 5TH ANNUAL CREEKSIDE READS!
We are excited to launch this year's all-school family reading event! Our 2026 selection is Stella by McCall Hoyle! 🐶✨
Reading together builds strong family bonds, boosts vocabulary, and helps lower stress. Plus, every family that signs up will receive a FREE copy of the book provided by Creekside!
🗓️ Important Dates to Know:
Sign-Up Deadline: Friday, September 11th
Book Distribution: By September 25th (includes a reading schedule bookmark!)
Special Author Visit: October 5th with McCall Hoyle!
Family Night: Coming later in October!

At CMS, we call Friday mornings Cardinal Connect! ❤️🖤

This special time gives our teams an opportunity to celebrate, build connections, and strengthen our school community. Some Fridays are dedicated to Team Meetings, Cardinal Colleges, or Reward Recess for students who consistently demonstrate our RISE expectations.

Today, many of our teams came together to celebrate, connect, and continue building a strong sense of community. We love seeing our Cardinals growing together and making Creekside an even better place to learn and belong!

Our 6th grade students are learning to think like writers!

Students used proficiency scales to closely examine writing samples, discuss evidence of learning, and determine the appropriate level of understanding. Through meaningful conversations and feedback, they are building a deeper understanding of what quality work looks like and what steps they can take to grow.

We love seeing our Cardinals taking ownership of their learning, thinking critically, and learning from one another! ❤️

Students from Team Phoenix have been working together, sharing ideas, and tackling problems as a team. Through collaboration, communication, and a little perseverance, they are proving that sometimes the best solutions come from working together!

There’s nothing quite like watching students discover a great book! Today, Creekside Cardinals spent time checking out books and exploring The Bridge Library at CMS. From finding new favorites to browsing books that spark curiosity, our students are building a love of reading one book at a time. ❤️📖

🌟 HEROES OF HOPE! 🌟

A massive shoutout to Boston Cartwright, Teagan Kopp, Yaneli Amaya, Maisie Ferguson, and Julieta Cuevas! Calling themselves the “Heroes of Hope,” these incredible students raised nearly $1,500 through student-led fundraisers to purchase essential items for the EverHope Children’s Shelter. 🎒❤️

From planning and advertising to running the snack stores, they took ownership of every single step.

"This started as a little project, and became so much more. After months of work, we raised a lot of money to help people from the shelter who need help." — Julieta C.
