Pen & Sword tournament - Please read! Please consider helping!
Ephesians 4:29 speech and debate club is hosting the 4th annual speech and debate tournament on April 25th and 26th called The Pen and The Sword.
Our Speech and Debate club has the opportunity to host a national tournament. But we need your help for about 3 hours!
***We can offer 501c3 "Work Volunteer Hours" documentation for employers!!!
The biggest need we have is for adults to come and listen to these competitors speak. You do not need any experience. These students are learning to speak in common situations to everyday people. They have practiced all year and the NITOC finals tournament is coming very soon. Each student hopes to get an invitation to NITOC by competing through tournaments like the one that we are hosting.
Please take a few minutes to read the attachment and sign-up for a judging timeslot. If you know of anyone that could come and listen to the students, please forward this email to them. We need 30 community judges every two hours.
If you would be interested in helping with other areas of the tournament (ie facility, food, donation solicitation, set-up, tear-down, etc) please contact Michelle Johnson at (479) 601-3828 or at [email protected]. If you are interested in learning more about competition for your child, please come and check out the event.
