A trail is never just a trail. It’s a place where neighbors connect, families get outside, and visitors experience a community in a new way. Trails support recreation, contribute to local tourism, and help make communities healthier and more connected. 🌲

But great trails don’t maintain themselves. Behind every mile of trail is a lot of planning, hard work, and ongoing stewardship to keep those experiences safe, sustainable, and enjoyable for everyone. 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️

That’s what we focus on in the NWACC Trail Technician Program. Through hands-on learning and real-world projects, students gain the skills needed to build, maintain, and manage the trail systems that connect people to the outdoors and strengthen communities across Northwest Arkansas and beyond. Because when we invest in trails, we’re investing in the places and people they serve. 🤝

We’re STILL buzzing from the grand opening of Oz Trails Bike Park! 🤘🚵

What made it even more special? In the weeks leading up to opening day, our NWACC Trail Construction & Trail Maintenance students were out there getting their hands dirty! Building trail, constructing bridges, and helping bring this incredible destination to life.

There’s nothing better than seeing classroom skills turn into real-world impact. These students aren’t just learning how to build trails, they’re helping create experiences that our local community and riders from around the world will enjoy for years to come.

We’re incredibly proud of our partnership with Oz Trails Bike Park and can’t wait for the next opportunity to put students to work on projects that leave a lasting mark on Northwest Arkansas.

Because the best classroom? It’s covered in dirt. 🌲⛏️
