Bentonville High School Orchestras

My name is Hyrum Johnston and I have been playing the viola since sixth grade. I have been apart of all region three times and honors orchestra 2 times while I have been in the program. After I graduate I plan to serve a two year mission for my church. After that Is over I plan to attend BYU or BYU-Idaho to study business and start off my career. One of my favorite orchestra memories is on our most recent dallas trip all the boys got together in one room and partied until Mr Collett came for room checks. Once he was there we all walked past him without a word.

Orchestra has always been a part of my school journey, I started all the way back in 4th grade, and continued to play it all the way until now. And I don't regret a second, no matter how many times I've sobbed my eyes out in front of that recording Chromebook for playing tests; all my amazing memories of playing with my community and good time spent together made it all worth it. Thank you Mr. Collett and thank you to all my friends!

- My favorite orchestra memory was the Dallas trip my freshman year!

I have played my violin for 6 years. During my time at Chamber orchestra, i have participated in All-region, All-state, and Honors chamber ensemble program. My favorite memory about the orchestra was the San Diego trip, beacuse i enjoyed going to the beach. After graduation, my plans are to attend Purdue University and major in applied mathematics. I also plan to join an orchestra and keep playing my violin during college.

Hi I’m Madde! I’ve been playing the cello since 4th grade and have always loved music. One of my favorite memories is the most recent trip to Dallas, where we performed at Meyerson Symphony Hall. After High School I plan to attend the University of Central Arkansas majoring in Nutritional Science in hopes to be a register dietician.

I got into Chamber the first time I auditioned for a school orchestra. I also made All-Region and All-State, and I was one of the recipients of the Supporters of Bentonville Orchestras Scholarship.

I was the principal cellist at APYO (Arkansas Philharmonic Youth Orchestra). I also have a 4.3 GPA and I am graduating with High Honors.

I have been playing my instrument for about 4 years

After graduation, I plan on attending Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where I hope to major in music performance or music education. I also plan on serving an 18-month long mission for my church, where I hope to help others find joy through Jesus Christ.

One of my favorite memories was playing in the Winter concert, especially performing Silent Night with the whole cello section. It was so beautiful!

Hi my name is Layla, and I have been playing the cello since sixth grade, so seven years in total. My favorite orchestra memory is getting to play at the Meyerson Center in Dallas this past trip.
After I graduate I plan to attend the University of Central Arkansas and major in nursing!
