Our second grade students celebrated the end of their CKLA Knowledge Domain: Fairy Tales and Tall Tales. They had so much dressing up as their favorite character, building a castle for the Fisherman’s Wife, and eating flapjacks!

Learning Intention
I am learning to identify the characteristics of fairy tales and tale tales.

Success Criteria
I’ll know I’m successful when I know how to:
1. Recall the characteristics of fairy tales and tall tales.
2. Identify the characteristics from the story I read.
3. Explain how those characteristics appear in the story, providing specific examples.

🍭🐻⚾ It was a BEAR-y sweet night at the ballpark! ⚾🐻🍭

Our Apple Glen Grizzlies have been reading, reading, reading—and last night, they got to celebrate their hard work in a BIG way! 📚🎉

We are so proud of the many Grizzlies who completed the Northwest Arkansas Naturals Read for Tickets Challenge by reading for 30 minutes a day for 5 straight days! 📖👏

Their reward? 2 FREE tickets to a Northwest Arkansas Naturals baseball game! 🎟️🎟️⚾

From cheering in the stands to being recognized on the field, our Grizzlies had a BEAR-y sweet time celebrating their love of reading! 🐻🍭❤️

4th grade has been busy practicing counting collections with money.

With Visible Learning, students take ownership of their learning by understanding what the learning intentions/objectives are and the key success criteria they must meet to master their learning.

“I am learning to read and write multi-digit whole numbers.”

“I'll know I'm successful when:
1. I know how to use place value to orgnaize and count a collection.
2. I know how to represent numbers in unit form, expanded form, and standard form.”

Our 1st Apple Glen PTO meeting of the year was a HUGE success—and we mean HUGE! ❤️💙

We had a standing-room-only crowd filled with families who are ready to make this a BEAR-Y SWEET YEAR for our Grizzlies! 🍦🍭🧁

A BIG thank you to everyone who took time out of your day to join us, share ideas, ask questions, and get involved. Your support, energy, and excitement are exactly what make Apple Glen so special! 🐻❤️💙

Meet Apple Glen Elementary's newest four-legged friend!

The Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to have worked with Peekaboo Magazine to donate a puppy to Apple Glen Elementary, where he'll begin the journey to becoming a certified therapy dog!

Through training and certification, he'll learn how to support students by providing a calming presence, encouragement, and a little extra comfort when they need it most. We can't wait to watch this pup grow into his new role and see the positive impact he'll make at Apple Glen!

Here's to plenty of tail wags, smiles, and brighter school days ahead.❤️💙

Our Grizzlies are BACK, and Apple Glen just feels complete again! ❤️💙

Today was filled with smiling faces, big hugs, excited hellos, new friendships, familiar faces, and SO much Grizzly spirit! We absolutely LOVED seeing our hallways and classrooms filled with our amazing students again. 🥰📚✨

There’s just something special about the first day of school—the excitement, the energy, and all the possibilities a brand-new year brings. And if today was any indication, we are in for one AMAZING year! 🎉

Thank you to our incredible students, families, teachers, and staff for making our first day back so wonderful. We’re officially ready for a year full of learning, laughter, memories, and lots of sweet moments! 🍭🍎🍦

Our Apple Glen crew was all smiles this morning for staff & team photos! 💙❤️ We are officially ready, excited, and counting down the hours until our Grizzlies fill these halls again!

We can’t wait to welcome our students back for the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL TOMORROW! There’s nothing quite like the energy, excitement, hugs, and smiles that come with having our Grizzlies back where they belong. 🐻❤️

We can’t believe it… TOMORROW is the day! ❤️💙 We are SO excited to welcome all of our Grizzlies back to Apple Glen Elementary for the first day of school on Tuesday, August 11th! 🐻🍎✏️

Our classrooms are ready, our teachers can’t wait, and we know this is going to be A BEAR-Y SWEET YEAR filled with learning, laughter, friendships, and lots of amazing memories! 🍦🍩✨

📚 FIRST DAY REMINDERS:
