FYI, the Arkansas State Police sent out this scam alert today. Be wary of these texts. The state police does not send out any reminders of CHCL expirations.

Good afternoon,
Please be aware that the Arkansas State Police will never send you a text message regarding the status of your Concealed Handgun Carry License (CHCL).
It has come to our attention that an unknown entity is sending out text messages indicating that the recipient’s CHCL is expiring and containing a link to click on for renewal.
It is strongly advised that you do not click on this link since it does not originate from the Arkansas State Police. All electronic CHCL renewals must go through the Arkansas State Police website.
