Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first PTO meeting! We’re so grateful for your time, ideas, and willingness to help make this a great year for our students, teachers, and staff.

One of our biggest priorities this year is respecting your time. Our philosophy is simple: many hands make light work. No one should feel like they have to take on an entire event or responsibility alone.

We want volunteering with Barker PTO to be enjoyable, manageable, and rewarding and most importantly, we want everyone to feel supported.

Did you know you can support the Ruth Hale Barker Middle School PTO every time you shop on Walmart.com or in the Walmart app?

Through Walmart Spark Good Round Up, eligible purchases can be rounded up to the nearest dollar, with the difference donated directly to the charity you select. It’s an easy way to support our students without adding another fundraiser to your to-do list! 🙌

We had a great meeting and are excited about what’s ahead for Barker! Thank you to every parent who attended!

We discussed:

✨ Supporting our teachers and staff through hospitality initiatives
👕 Upcoming spirit wear opportunities
💙 Growing our PTO membership
🥫 Supporting the Little Pantry through a future food drive
🏈 Planning for our upcoming Tailgate Party
🎉 Looking ahead to Dodgeball Dance, Holiday Grams, and 6th Grade Send-Off

Whether you’ve been involved with PTO before or this is your first time, we’d love to have you join us.

The PTO is a great way to connect with your child’s school, meet teachers and other Barker families, have a voice in what we do, and help create meaningful experiences for our students.
