Sharpe Elementary School

Sharpe Elementary School Sharpe Elementary School is located in Marshall County, Kentucky. We are located in the rural community of Sharpe in West Marshall County, Kentucky.

Sharpe Elementary has an enrollment of approximately 390 students with a grade range of pre-school through 5th grades. Sharpe proudly displays the "Green Devil" as its school mascot. We are part of the Marshall County School District, which ranked 5th among all districts statewide, in the most recent release of state testing data. Sharpe is currently in the top 14% of all elementary schools across

the state of Kentucky. We are proud of our students, staff, parents, and community. Go Green Devils!

Our Marshall County Mountain Bike Team kicked off their season last weekend with their first race of the year. Congratulations to freshman Chloe Sharp on winning the JV3 Division race!

We are loving the reading work happening in our classrooms! Our Green Devils are putting in the work every day to become stronger, more confident readers. 💚📖

One of the best parts of our day is small-group reading time, when teachers can work closely with students to meet them right where they are. These focused groups give students opportunities to strengthen skills, practice strategies, build vocabulary, discuss texts and grow their confidence as readers.

From small-group instruction to independent reading and meaningful conversations about books, reading is happening everywhere you look at Sharpe! 📚💚
