Today we visited the Sesser Public Library where we read "The cow in Patrick O'Shanahans Kitchen" followed by making ice cream in a bag. The kids loved! Thanks for having us!

This week was our Annual Summer Ag Institute. We had 8 teachers attend. Day 1 we toured Cusumano and Sons (where I was so interested I forgot to take any pictures) , learned about their history and what it takes to delivery fresh produce to our area. We then heard from Illinois Illinois Pork Producers Association and the IDNR taught about native bees.

Day 2, Kevin presented all the cool new things with AITC and we took a trip the HR H&R Agri-Power to learn how the equipment works and the amount of technology in it.

Day 3 we visited Violet Soaps Apothecary where we learned how to make soap! Cheyanne Bristol and Josh Valier from Southern FS visited in the afternoon and taught about the technology used in the field and the use of Drones in agriculture.

We had a great time and are looking forward to next year!

Thanks H&R!
