🧑‍🏫 Meet Our Newest Instructor: Genevieve "Evie" Xin-Smith!

We are thrilled and incredibly proud to announce that Genevieve "Evie" Xin-Smith has joined the teaching faculty at Ovation Music Academy!

Evie’s musical journey began right here at the Academy at just four years old under the guidance of our owner, Oksana Pavilionis. Over the years, her dedicated classical training has grown alongside rich performance experience, including serving as the lead pianist for her church congregation for two years and performing in numerous academic musical productions.

Now 13 years old, Evie brings a remarkable combination of early-onset technique, strong foundational understanding, and genuine passion to her teaching practice. In addition to offering beginner piano instruction to students of all ages, she continues to expand her own musical horizons by studying guitar here at Ovation.

Having watched Evie grow from a talented four-year-old beginner into a accomplished young musician and instructor is a true joy. We are honored to welcome her to our team of teachers!

🗨️ "I had a very stressful morning. I took a walk and came to the sound bath at Ovation Music Academy Thursday. Afterwards, I realized how much I needed this! I became aware of how important my body and well-being is. Expect to see me next Thursday!"

This is what one of the people who attended the Sound Bath on July 30th said! We had so much fun relaxing and chatting over tea afterwards. 🍵🪷

I look forward to seeing all of you again this Thursday, August 6th for our second sound bath!

So I believed Google… until I pulled into the parking lot.

The lights were on. 🎶
I heard music.
People were laughing.
Someone was singing.
Someone was playing.

Apparently, Google forgot one tiny detail…

Music doesn’t check the clock at Ovation Music Academy. 😂

Around here, creativity has overtime, joy has no closing hours, and great music refuses to go home.

🎶 Meet our new violin teacher! 🎻

⭐ Ayla (eye-lah) Paredes is an aspiring young performer with an immense dedication and passion for education as well as performance. She aims to create meaningful connections with her students and an impact that will guide them through their musical journey. Often times her students are reluctant to leave the classroom after their lessons, reflecting her dedication to foster a comfortable learning environment for children and teens.

📚 Ayla’s areas of accomplishment range in both voice and violin. She has well over 12 years of experience in both fields having been professionally coached since a young age. She is a proud member of the esteemed Arkansas Symphony Youth Orchestra, in which she has been involved with for the past 5 years. She has experience in multiple Chamber music groups, and often performs publicly in order to bring her real-world experience into the classroom. Her vocal accomplishments have been showcased in highly ranked choirs including the Arkansas All-State choir, and she has been Nationally ranked through the American Choral Director’s Association after having attended the ACDA National Honor Choir.

Students may study:
•Voice and Vocal Performance
•Violin Performance (Classical and Fiddle)
•Audition Preparation
•Classical, Musical Theater, Pop
•Solo Performance for both Violin and Voice

🧑‍🏫 Ayla’s classroom environment aims to allow her students to leave feeling confident while being provided with new opportunities, ideas, and experiences. She loves to work with younger children through high school teens and parents often comment on her ability to connect and communicate with her students.
