💙💛 Tomorrow is the BIG DAY, Falcons! 💛💙

We are so excited to welcome our students back tomorrow for the first day of the 2026–2027 school year! 🦅📚

As everyone settles back into the school routine, please take a few minutes to review the morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up procedures in the graphics below. A little patience and teamwork during these first few days will help keep everyone safe and traffic moving smoothly.

⏰ Doors open at 7:30 a.m.
🔔 Tardy bell rings at 7:55 a.m.
🚗 Please follow the designated traffic flow and remember that the drop-off line is a no-passing and no-parking zone.

Our staff will be ready to greet students, help our youngest Falcons find their way, and make that first morning a great one!

Get those backpacks ready, set those alarms, and get a good night's sleep. We can't wait to see our Falcons tomorrow morning!

💙💛 WE’RE BACK, FALCONS! 💛💙

Our Kelso C-7 team is back and getting ready for an amazing 2026–2027 school year!

Today was filled with Back-to-School Basics, learning, safety, and a little fun!

🚔 Thank you to the Scott County Sheriff’s Department for partnering with us for emergency drills and helping us prepare to keep our students and staff safe.

❤️ Thank you to Shauna Schmidt for providing CPR training and helping our team build lifesaving skills.

🥪 Thank you to Southern Bank for their continued support of Kelso C-7 and for providing lunch for our staff today!

🎉 A HUGE thank you to our Kelso C-7 PTO for sponsoring the decorations, snacks, and extra employee gifts that made the day even more special.

💛 And a special shoutout to our principal, Mrs. Lands, for organizing all the decorations, celebrations, and special touches that helped make our first day back so much fun!

We are thankful for everyone who helped us kick off the year feeling prepared, appreciated, and excited.

Looking for a part-time opportunity that works well with a school-day schedule? **Kelso C-7 is looking for a responsible, dependable individual who enjoys working with children to supervise our After-School Care Program!**

🕒 **Hours:** 3:30–5:30 p.m.
📅 **Days:** When school is in session
💰 **Pay:** Based on experience
🎂 **Age:** Must be at least 16 years old; **18+ preferred**

**We’re looking for someone who is:**

* Responsible and dependable
* Patient and caring
* Comfortable supervising children
* Ready to help provide a safe, positive environment for our students

🎉 Welcome to the Falcon Family, Mrs. Hannah McFerron! 💙💛

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Hannah McFerron to Kelso C-7 as our new 3rd Grade Teacher! 🦅📚

Mrs. McFerron joins us with 5 years of experience teaching 3rd grade. She earned her degree from Southeast Missouri State University and is excited to begin this new chapter as part of our Falcon Family!

When asked what she is most excited about this school year, Mrs. McFerron shared:
"I am excited to begin this new chapter by becoming part of a welcoming school community! I am looking forward to meeting my students and helping them grow both academically and personally throughout the year!"

Mrs. McFerron loves getting to know each student’s unique personality and helping them recognize their strengths. She hopes to create a classroom community where students feel supported, encouraged, and excited to learn each day.

Outside of school, Mrs. McFerron enjoys spending time with her family and friends, taking summer beach vacations, and making a quick trip to TJ Maxx or Target! ☀️🛍️
