Bentworth Proud!!!

From the classroom to the workforce.

Through funding from the EQT Foundation, Southwest Training Services, Inc. partnered with Charleroi Area School District, Bentworth School District and Penn Commercial to provide eight graduating seniors with CDL-A training and industry-recognized credentials.

The result? A 100% pass rate and all eight graduates are now employed in transportation-related careers.

Congratulations to the graduates, including Bentworth alumna Nora Lindley, who passed her CDL-A exam on her first attempt and is now putting her skills to work at her family’s business.

We’re proud to support programs that create career pathways and opportunities for the next generation.

Why We Are Moving Away from ClassDojo

As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, Bentworth School District has made the decision to move away from ClassDojo as a primary communication tool between our schools and families.

We know that many families have become comfortable with ClassDojo, and we understand that any change in communication can take some adjustment. However, our goal is to make school-to-home communication secure, reliable, and easier for families to manage.

Moving forward, we want important school and student information communicated through District approved communication platforms that can be centrally managed and supported by the District. This helps us:

• Better protect student and family information
• Maintain appropriate records of school communications
• Provide greater District oversight and accountability
• Reduce the number of different apps and platforms parents are expected to monitor
• Ensure families receive important information through consistent communication channels
• Better support staff and families when communication or technology issues arise

This change does not mean we want less communication with our families, quite the opposite! We want communication to be timely, meaningful, consistent, and accessible.

We appreciate everyone's patience as we make this transition. Strong communication between our schools and families is essential to student success, and we remain committed to keeping our families informed and connected.

IMPORTANT ATHLETIC FIELD UPDATE

Due to the current condition of the Bentworth Athletic Field, ALL football games scheduled to be played at the field tomorrow have been canceled. (Bentworth scrimmage and three youth games)

Please know Bentworth has explored all campus options prior to cancelling the games. The Bentworth scrimmage game will now be played at an alternative location. ( Carlynton SD's practice field with a kick off time of 10:00.) The address is: 435 Kings Highway Carnegie PA 15106.

We understand the disappointment this may cause especially for our young athletes and families. However, given the current field conditions and future weather forecast, using the field tomorrow could cause significant damage and impact its availability for upcoming school and community events.

We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of our youth football organization, families, coaches, and community as we work together to protect and maintain our athletic facilities.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of our student athletes and youth programs.

Hello BEARCATS!!!!

TEACHER AND BUSING INFORMATION is now available in the Parent Portal. Reminder, if you have not already completed your Returning Student Registration, please go to https://skyward.iscorp.com/BentworthSDPAStu.

Once you are in the system, select the tile for Returning Student Registration, complete and submit the required information and all other tiles will go live.

You will look at the Scheduling tile for Teacher information and Transportation for Busing.

Remember, excuses can be submitted in the Attendance tile, Grading can be followed throughout the year, and the Portfolio tile will be used for Report Cards.

Also, if you forget your password, please click on the reset link on the sign-on page and you will receive an email to reset your account.

We can't wait to see everyone next Tuesday, August 25th!
