Field Day was a great way to celebrate the end of the 25-26 school year at the IB Campus! The students had a fantastic time and demonstrated good sportsmanship and school spirit throughout the day. Field Day was filled with excitement, teamwork, and plenty of smiles! Students enjoyed a variety of fun games and activities while building friendships and showing great sportsmanship. These photos capture the energy, laughter, and memorable moments that made this year's Field Day such a special event. A huge shout out to all our volunteers and Ms. Draut who made this special day possible!!

Egg drop challenge! Congratulations to our 6th graders for exploring science to engineer such creative vessels to protect a fragile egg while dropping from a ladder, the roof, and a fire fighting truck ladder.

Our 6th graders just proved that science is best learned by doing! As the culmination of a unit on force and motion, students took on the Egg Drop Challenge -- designing and building protective structures using limited materials to prevent a raw egg from breaking when dropped from the roof of our gym! This activity builds real engineering design skills. Students had to apply their understanding of force, motion, and impact while working through a genuine inquiry process: ask questions, design solutions, test, and reflect. Hands-on learning like this develops the kind of critical thinking and problem-solving that students carry far beyond the classroom.

This week we had the honor of recognizing 9 graduates who were full Diploma Students from the Class of 2025. We awarded diplomas that were earned as well as certificates from IB. It was a great opportunity to connect with alumni, celebrate their accomplishments, and hear about their first year at college!

As we flip the calendar to June, the end of year celebrations at School Lane Charter School are just getting started!
Our Kindergartners recently took center stage for their End of Year Ceremony, marking a milestone moment as they prepare to move up to 1st Grade. These young learners have grown so much this year, and we could not be more proud of each and every one of them!
We were thrilled that 6abc Action News was on hand to capture the joy and excitement of the day.
A huge thank you to our Kindergarten families for your partnership this year. We are so excited for what lies ahead for your children at SLCS!
