Todah Rabah to the Sisterhood and the Men’s Club for preparing and leading a beautiful, intergenerational Tu B’Shevat Seder today. Our students had a lot of fun mixing white and red grape juice to move through the four cups- each representing a season (all white=winter, . .two cups mixed= spring and summer, . . .finally all red=fall). They also enjoyed eating the fruits, nuts, and the salad. There was also soup and dirt dessert. Tu B’Shevat is the Jewish Earth Day, which is a great time to revisit our commitment to protecting the earth and to try new fruits!!

Speaking of intergenerational, notice the picture of Hailey with her beautiful Magen David necklace, which belonged to her grandmother.

Change is in the air at Judy Sare.... we are expanding our fabulous staff! Please join us in congratulating Cindy Citron on her new position as Director of Education at Tifereth Israel. Cindy will continue to play a vital role in all of the educational aspects at Judy Sare and Tifereth Israel.

Please also join us in welcoming Jason Roe to our family. Jason is our new Director of Judy Sare Nursery school. Jason and Cindy will be our "Dynamic Duo", working side by side to enhance all of our education programs at TI and Judy Sare.

Jason has dedicated 20 years to Jewish education, beginning his career under the guidance of Cindy Citron at Temple Beth Zion Beth Israel in Philadelphia. His roles there included administrative assistant, classroom assistant, and teacher in the religious school.

After earning his degree in Early Childhood Education from Community College of Philadelphia, he joined Congregation Adath Jeshurun as a preschool teacher and served as Camp Director for 3 summers while continuing his studies at Drexel University.

Jason's summers at Ramah Day Camp in Elkins Park, PA, spanned 14 years, during which he advanced from counselor to program director, overseeing daily operations and logistics.

Jason has been an integral part of our Hebrew School at Tifereth Israel for the past 3 years.

He is passionate about nurturing each child's unique potential through hands-on, engaging learning experiences, fostering a love for Jewish education in a supportive and enriching environment.

Outside of work, Jason can often be found cheering on the Flyers (especially Gritty), dog sitting, or in the kitchen cooking up something new!

We are so excited to have Jason as part of our family, and you will find him in the building beginning August 26th. Please make sure to stop in and welcome him to the Judy Sare and TI family!
