🍿 BSMS PTO needs your help! 🍿

Our concessions stand is always a favorite at BSMS events—and trust us, people definitely notice (and are disappointed!) when it isn’t open!

Volunteering is easy, fun, and gives you a great view of the game. Concessions are also the PTO’s biggest fundraiser, helping provide activities and support for our students and staff throughout the year. There must be at least one adult working and you can bring your children to help. High school students can even earn service hours!

Can’t work a full shift? Partial shifts are welcome, too!

We had so much fun at our Club Pitch Presentation this morning!
Our BSMS club sponsors shared information about the clubs available to students, what each club has to offer, and how students can get involved.
The presentation was shared with families as well. Please take time to review it with your student and pay close attention to the sign-up procedures and deadlines for each club!

💥🪐 Our 7th grade scientists are investigating asteroid impacts! Students used ping pong balls, marbles, and a golf ball to simulate asteroids hitting Mars. 🌎 We’re exploring how mass and size affect crater size🚀✨

Today, our 8th grade science students took their learning outside with Mr. Scott for some experimentation with fly fishing! 🎣 Students were able to see kinetic and potential energy in action as they explored how the movement of the fly rod and line connected to the concepts they’ve been studying in science. What a fun way to bring learning to life!

🧪🧷7th graders put their skills to the test with our Diaper Lab! Students made predictions, tested their ideas, collected data, and learned about the scientific method through a fun, hands-on experiment! 🔬✨

We made it! Thank you for a great first week back to school!
Next week is going to be busy, as you saw from Mr. Apfelbeck's email. So make sure you are ready for Picture Day on Monday, MAP testing Tuesday through Thursday, and Club Pitch Presentations on Friday!

We had a great first day back with students and we are looking forward to an amazing 2026-2027 school year!
