🎲 Roll for initiative! Our Dungeons & Dragons club officially kicked off their first campaigns today!

So, what is Dungeons & Dragons? D&D is a collaborative storytelling game where students create their own characters and navigate fantasy adventures guided by math, strategy, and imagination. Far from just a game, it’s a powerhouse for learning, fostering high-level critical thinking, creative problem-solving, teamwork, and quantitative skills as players calculate outcomes and adapt to unexpected challenges.

We are so excited to bring this incredible club to BSMS for its very first year! We can’t wait to see the creative quests our students embark on. 🐉✨

We had a busy, fun-filled early dismissal day at BSMS!

We kicked things off by celebrating our Learn Grow Lead Award recipients with treats and a special visit from Maura Vankooten! Maura is the owner of Vankooterie Charcuterie Boards, a Social Media Content Specialist for Nebraska Furniture Mart, and most recently, she was crowned Miss Nebraska Elite!
Maura shared her personal journey with our students and spoke about how learning, growing, and leading have shaped her path and helped her get to where she is today. We are incredibly grateful that she took time out of her busy schedule to connect with and inspire our students!

We also had a successful evacuation drill to Stratford Elementary School today! The beautiful weather made for a great day for our walk, and our students did an outstanding job following directions and completing the drill safely and efficiently.
