Attention Bennington Ag students from this past year 2022-2023:

Big 3 Field Days will be next week, July 18-20. Each day participants will have the opportunity to compete in livestock judging contests evaluating swine, sheep, goats, and cattle. If you are interested in attending, please contact Mr. McCarter by 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening. If enough students are interested, we will try to make reservations; however, this is a large event and rooms could be challenging, but we will do the best we can.

We wrapped up our year at the 96th annual State FFA Convention. Bennington was well represented with 18 students who attended!

We were recognized for the following
- Chapter Trust
- Making Things Better Grant recipient
- Hunger Challenge Donation
- Served as courtesy corps
- Julia McAllister and Emily Fisher Recieved their State FFA Degree

They say it takes a village, and that rang true. My son decided to make his appearance on Tuesday so while I had to miss the convention I’m very thankful for a school staff that volunteered 3 days of their time to take 18 students to Tulsa. Very grateful that we have such a wonderful school to help us out!

Due to the possibility of inclement and severe weather tonight, throughout the state.

Our kids will be staying an additional night in Tulsa. Our students safety is our top priority and will always do what is in their best interest! They will return to Bennington early in the morning.

Reminder banquet tomorrow night! If your student is in ag it would be great if they could come! Pulled pork dinner at 6:30 banquet at 7. Come out and celebrate our members and their successes!

State Quizbowl contest today didn’t go our way but still very proud of these students that studied countless hours and worked hard to learn the animal science book from cover to cover! We lose some talented seniors this year but will be back next year! Proud is an understatement

💥Southeast Area Animal Science Quiz Bowl Champions💥

Our animal science quizbowl traveled to Seminole today and worked their way to a 4-0 day and 1st place in the tournament, and qualified for the state contest on Friday! Super proud of this group and their drive!

Officer applications are available now at the ag building or the front desk of the high school.

if you are interested in running for an office, please pick one up and fill it out. Open to any FFA member who has completed their ninth grade year. Due back to Mr. Stanglin by Wednesday April 20th with Officer Interviews being Thursday April 21st at 4 pm!

Spend the day yesterday at Murray State College competing in several contest at the interscholastics contest! Took several kids and had some success. Two livestock judging teams, ANSI QuizBowl got a tune up before the area contest next week, and the shop team placed 3rd in District and Brannon Williams was 2nd high individual in district!
