My temple home needs a temporary keeper!! 🌴🖤

If you’ve been following The Fired Files, you know life reorganized itself pretty quickly. My new role is taking me to the East Coast for a season, which means the home I’ve loved, prayed, created, rested, healed, hosted, and built a whole little life in needs some love while I’m away.

I’m looking for someone special to call it home for a while. And for the right person, my car can come with it.

The body doesn’t lie, even when it’s not your body you’re healing.

One of my favorite ways to work with distance Reiki is through a crystal grid. Sometimes the grid holds the intention throughout the session. Other times, it supports me while I go deeper.

This client wanted to release old connections and welcome in something new, so I chose black obsidian for clearing and clear quartz for amplifying the good. I charged each stone with Reiki, the intention, and the timing of our work.

Then I went into one of my Reiki II meditation practices. That’s when things get interesting. Typically I see and feel. Sometimes I hear. There’s usually a whole story that unfolds as I move through the session — and this time, I started yawning, crying, and blinking a lot. But I didn’t actually have an emotional connection to the tears because it wasn’t my stuff.

Yawning, coughing, blinking, shaking, and tears are signs that energy is moving. They help me to know the session is working.

People love to ask me if crystals actually work. All I can tell you is that they’ve become a powerful part of my practice and they’re literally all up in our technology (phones and computers)!!

Anyway. This Reiki Master is officially back at work. đź–¤

Sometimes my body processes grief by getting sick. So this chapter is asking me to hold two things at once: grief for what’s ending AND genuine excitement for what’s beginning.

Friday was for nourishment. A big pot of curry, a meeting about my next adventure, and plenty of time to dream about the future while saying goodbye to the past.

Special shoutout to Sasa for keeping me stocked with fresh limes 🍋‍🟩 and Laurnea for putting me onto her ginger + garlic + lime tonic recipe because whew, my body needed ALL of it.

New beginnings can still require grieving the old ones. Both can be true. đź–¤

I didn’t wake up with nothing. I woke up with more space. And before I rush to fill it, I’m listening.

Because losing something can be disappointing AND freeing. I can trust what’s coming next and still grieve what just ended.

So I cleared my head, tended to my crown, put some gold in my hair and made sure I look good. ✨

Now we’ll see what wants to fill all this new space.

Budget cuts…Layoffs every month or so…The writing was on the wall.

But so was the promise that I am protected, guided, held, and led by Spirit.

I was disappointed. I lit a candle, let my witches know, and started wrapping my head around a return to the unknown—the black womb of creation. The realm where anything and everything is possible.

And before I even had time to process that reality, another path opened. I don’t know exactly what’s happening. But I know this feeling. I’ve followed it before. 🕯️✨
