With the loss of Highland (Kenwood) Elementary School's gym/auditorium, DCHS is taking this opportunity to ask you for your favorite memories and stories about the school for our collection. What was it like attending Kenwood Elementary, did you have a favorite teacher, was there a special event that took place at the gym, what are your fondest memories? Donating or loaning photographs to the collection would be appreciated as well.
We will be presenting some of these stories as part of History Pub on February 28th at McMenamins Old St Francis, with a repeat on March 1 at the Downtown Bend Library, Brooks Room.
Please email your stories and photos to [email protected]. You can call and chat with us at 541-389-1813, or if you have family not electronically inclined, they can mail us at: DCHS, 129 NW Idaho Ave, Bend, Oregon 97703.
