Another day, another cancellation 😔 All OSCD classes cancelled today, August 11th. As usual, please check the air quality sensor before heading to Freddie’s Field for practice.

All OSCD classes are cancelled today, August 4th. It looks like another week of unhealthy air quality. I hope to see Wednesday and Thursday students, but it isn't looking likely at the moment. PLEASE check you inbox before heading to classes. I am very happy to hear the evacuations in the Awkawa fire have been reversed, I am so glad so many of you were able to return home! Fingers crossed we will get the remianing fires under control. Stay safe and fingers crossed I will see you all next week.

Fires and smoke are here. Please monitor The Freddie’s Field air quality sensor before heading over to practice.

As of right now classes have been cancelled for Tuesday, July 21st. Fingers crossed we will get these fires squashed.

The Mudi Club of America “Running with the Devils” ISC inaugural competition is in the books! If you attended, thank you so so so much for your support, we appreciate you. If you missed it, I’m sorry we didn’t get to see you and we hope you can make it next year.

Okay, it’s really like an Oscar speech, but I know the music won’t start and I can thank all the people without the music drowning me out. First, Rosemarie, this woman hears a million ideas and nods her head to every single one, even if it’s just sandbox play. But she is always there, supporting, helping, listening, and giving amazing feedback when these ideas start coming to life. There would be no OSCD without a backbone, and she is the backbone.

Then all the people who helped with property prep and break down, Chris, Jessica, Sandra, Beth, Kira, Joey, Cruz, Kaylee, Bridget, Margie, I mean, look at that list! From pine needles to cheat, to Russian thistle, and long jumps, tunnel bags, trash bags, and weave poles, s**t, I can hear the music and the list is triple that!

Then the course designers Aneta, Emilia, and Kate, you made our weekend so so so much fun. Des even won J3 on his maker’s course! That was a blast.

Our Judge, Nancy Kemna who frigging rocked her devil horns and rolled the last course of the weekend at 666.6 feet! I mean come on! You were everything a demon wrangler could want in a judge. Thank you for your time, knowledge, patience, and humor. We all appreciate you!

Thanks to all the handlers who stepped up and volunteered this weekend. A competition like this does not run itself. Really, if you can’t tell, I’m truly incredibly grateful for the community I’m a part of and the people in my life. How does one person get so lucky?

It was a blast to watch you all run!

Oh!! There were 7 Mudis present at the event! You’ll hear the stories, and they’re all true! When we all got together for a group photo in front of the gates of hell, the wind picked up every tent, jump, and anything not nailed down and flung it all about. It was a dust devil unlike any dust devil I’ve ever seen! It was so so powerful. Then when we all dispersed, the wind died and the sun came back out. It was a supernatural event to be sure!

Again, thank you all for your support, we look forward to seeing you all again next year.

It’s going to be a scorcher today. Because our dogs aren’t acclimated to the heat, afternoon classes are canceled starting with the 12:30pm class. It was already 80 at 9am!
