I don’t know if you could tell from my melodramatic stories yesterday, but it was a really rough day. I went back to work in a new classroom, a new grade level, a new team, a new way of planning to start the beginning of the year COVID style, and I lost my s**t. I’m fragile, we all are, and I was just not prepared for the emotions I would feel starting this year. It didn’t help that I fell off of a table while hanging decorations and jammed my fingers into a bookshelf 🥴.
I thought I’d call my sister and ask for some help setting things up ( she’s a master with the stapler), but you know that moment you hear a safe voice of a close friend or family member? Ya, I hysterically ugly cried and she dropped what she was doing and came to my rescue. 😭❤️
I tell people to trust in Divine timing and wasn’t able to do that yesterday. Today, I was surprisingly moved to 2nd grade, I will be teaching Henry and Sawyer which will make teaching/ parenting during distance learning so much easier, and I will likely have some kiddos I taught last year in my class. ❤️ I was gifted a silver lining that I couldn’t have expected. Right after I found out, my sister and Savy showed up and brought me a care package with things to bring me joy. 😭 You guys, I’m an emotional mess. Im scared and anxious about everything and struggling to figure out all of the details, but I’m grateful for family, friends and crazy Divine timing. ✨
Sending a HUGE hug to all of the educators, teachers, students and family members who answer hysterical phone calls from the teachers in their life! We are a village. We can do hard things. We can do this ❤️
