Who doesn't love a good ole fashioned competition? Especially when it involves beating SMU?? In years past, the canned food drive that we sponsor with Net Impact has been a one-day event, but this year it has the unique twist of being a competition with our counterparts at SMU.

We are placing Tarrant Area Food Bank collection boxes throughout Smith, Tandy, Dan Rogers and Rees-Jones on campus to collect canned goods. Please bring some cans and join in the competition; we are in it to win it!

We had our kick-off meeting yesterday and enjoyed dinner from Central Market. We broke the ice by pairing up with a partner and learning fun facts about each other to share with the group. One of our new members who is from China shared with us that it also happened to be the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, which she said is best celebrated with family and friends. As such, she said our dinner was the perfect way to celebrate. As our 2016-2017 year kicks off, we are excited about the relationships that we will build over the year and the events ahead!

Last night we hosted our Women's Welcome Dinner for incoming MBAs at Fort Worth's famous Joe T. Garcia's. The newest lady horned frogs come to Neeley from all over the globe with an amazing variety of different backgrounds and experiences. Joe T.'s is always delicious and we are excited for the year ahead!

See our president, Chelsea Franklin, featured for her internship at Essilor this summer in a Summer Intern Spotlight through the Neeley MBA Program. Way to go, Chelsea!

Chelsea Franklin, '17, is an MBA Marketing Intern at Essilor USA— the leading manufacturer and wholesale distributor of optical lenses in the United States. Chelsea recently visited the lab to learn how Essilor lenses are made and inspected for quality.

Our outing on Saturday to Benbrook Driving Range was a success as we sharpened our skills for the golf course under the guidance of fellow Horned Frogs Debra Reynolds and Terri Janak!

We had a fun outing to the lovely Fort Worth Botanic Garden yesterday, which was the first day of Spring. We finished up the afternoon at Sweet Sammies for treats. Yum!
