Volleyball Players!
Practice begins Tuesday, September 1, 2026 in the high school gym. Practice days will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays from 12:00-3:30 pm through September 4, 2026.
Practice times AFTER September 5, 2026 will be 3:20-5:45pm.
Parents are responsible for getting athletes to and from practice on days the school activity bus is unavailable.
Activity buses are scheduled to start running on September 28, 2026 and will only be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you have any questions, please feel free to call or Facebook message the school. If you call, please leave a voicemail!

Lady Eagle Volleyball
Start date: Tuesday, September 1, 2027
Practices will run 12:00-3:30 at the BugONayGeShig HS gymnasium on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Athletes must have their own rides to and home from practices. Please bring your practice clothes! ♥️🏐🦅

Aaniin, Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig School Community!

Staff are starting to return to school as we prepare to welcome our students back, and we can’t wait to get the new school year started! 🍎📚

Boozhoo Bug O Nay Ge Shig Community! Now that we are into July, we wanted to share a few exciting staff updates. Our team of awesome educators is growing! We are thrilled to share that Janelle Johnson will be our Elementary Ojibwe Teacher! She comes to us with several years of experience in the classroom, and when we talked this morning, she shared how excited she is to be coming to Bugonaygeshig to work with Leech Lake kids on their language skills. We also have Ombaazhi Guernsey joining us as a new paraprofessional. She is coming to Bugonaygeshig after several years of experience in youth services and education, and she has some language skills herself. Last, Earl Robinson is our new Community School Coordinator. He will be helping us start our new Full Service Community School Program, which will connect kids and families with important services and resources as a part of their school day. On top of this good news, all of our teachers from last year are returning and the 26-27 school year is going to be great at Bugonaygeshig!

The July School Board meeting will be held on Thursday, July 16th at 4:30pm. This change is to accommodate the LLBO Swearing In Ceremony for newly elected members, which is scheduled for July 10th.
