Northwest Technical College provides an inspiring and challenging learning environment with personalized services and access to industry-current technology.

Classes are offered on the Bemidji campus, online, or as a combination of both. NTC’s open enrollment policy, affordable tuition and high quality education has attracted a diverse group of learners entering college after high school and later for re-careering education. There are more than 1,600 learners currently enrolled at NTC in business, health, human and protective services, environmental an

d industrial technology career programs. NTC offers associate degrees, diplomas, and certificate programs that meet the evolving needs of regional and global employers.

Leaders from across our institutions gathered to discuss opportunities to strengthen partnerships, enhance academic collaboration and transfer pathways, expand workforce development initiatives, and continue advancing student success throughout northern Minnesota.

NTC is expanding its academic offerings in response to student interest and feedback from employers and workforce partners across northern Minnesota.

Beginning in fall 2026, an innovative partnership with Sanford Health will bring a new cardiac sonography program to NTC. The college is also adding new associate and diploma pathways in Information Technology Support and expanding its Cosmetology Academy offerings with an Advanced Practice Esthetics certificate. Together, these programs respond to growing employer demand and help prepare students for high-skill careers in healthcare, technology and wellness.

Congratulations to Bemidji Mayor Jorge Prince ('94) on receiving the National Leadership Award for 2025 Storm Response Efforts!

As we reflect on last year's storm, which brought devastating winds of up to 120 mph and impacted our campuses and community, we are grateful for the incredible response from local leaders, city crews and first responders. In the face of widespread damage to trees, buildings and power lines, our community came together with resilience and determination to begin the work of recovery and restoration. We remain thankful for everyone who played a role in helping Bemidji move forward.
