We are excited to share our art student creations with you - the Grand Opening of our "Art-in-the-Park" Project is this WED, AUG 19, 9-10am...this is an ongoing project throughout school year 2026-2027. We hope you join us on AUG 19 and/or stroll through the park this next year to see all the creations!

Thank you to the City of Bemidji Arts Commission (https://tinyurl.com/mr3zscvc) and the Parks & Trails (https://www.ci.bemidji.mn.us/parksandtrails) for their support and collaboration on this project!

We're beautifying the park with artful and whimsical tree stumps - from the June 2025 storm - that are the creations of our students...plus their art ideas generated from a collaboration of our Art & Ojibwe Language/Culture classes.

This project is made possible from the "Afterschool Community Learning Grant" awarded to Voyageurs from the MN Dept of Education for 2024-2027. More information about the grant can be found on each featured student page in the site shown below.

Thank you City of Bemidji, Minnesota, Government for the collaboration and partnership on this extraordinary art project! We are so proud of the beautiful artwork created by our VES students! Grand opening is on Wednesday, August 19th from 9- 10 a.m.

Exciting news! These beautiful art installations are finally opening! Please join Voyageurs Expeditionary School for their public grand opening Wednesday, August 19th from 9am-10am. Come see the artwork and enjoy some light refreshments!

Do you love animals? Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of shelter pets? We're looking for compassionate, hardworking individuals to join our Animal Care Team!🐶🐱

We’re currently seeking two part-time Animal Care Team Members (one weekend position needed). 15-25 hours per week (flexible hours), starting pay $14/hour.

As an Animal Care Team Member, you'll help provide daily care for the precious dogs and cats at Great River Rescue while ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both animals and visitors.

We're Looking For Someone Who:
🐾 Loves working with dogs and cats and treats them with patience and compassion.
🐾 Has a good work ethic, and enjoys working both independently and as part of a team.
🐾 Can safely lift and handle animals weighing up to 100 pounds.
🐾 Is comfortable using computers and tablet devices.
🐾 Has strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
🐾 Enjoys interacting with both people and animals.
🐾 Is comfortable working in a shelter environment with high noise levels, exposure to animal dander, bites, scratches, biological and potentially zoonotic agents, and occasional shifts that extend beyond scheduled hours.
