Sundance has decided that he wants to look cool.
Sundance likes to be one of the cool kids.
He sees the trendy farm guests.
The kids with their hair over their eyes.
Sundance likes that stylish look and has decided to follow suit.
We think he looks pretty stylish.
Wouldn't you agree?

Warm and fuzzy Monday to you.
What can make your heart melt faster than an adorable alpaca.
Doesn't Topher look pleased?
He was being his most adorable self yesterday for farm visitors.
Who can resist those eyes?
He might just win World's Most Adorable Alpaca.
Happy Monday!

Suri alpaca yarn!
This is a lovely blend of fibers. 2 years of Zannah Du's fiber blended with a dark Grey named Sensation.
The result?
A wonderful light Grey, 3-ply, 200 yard, light sport weight yarn.
We have 40 skeins but we'll probably keep 15 of them for ourselves to make products.
Total production costs put this at 56/skein.
We are putting in the shop below costs at $35/skein.

New yarn, just in!
We received 10 amazing skeins of yarn from Topher.
This is 200 yards, 2 ply, sport weight.
Topher is a 2 time national Spin-off champion in the brown alpaca color group.
This is soft.
This is smooth.
This is shiny.

We calculated what we would need to charge for the yarn in order to cover our costs (photo #3) which is 70/skein.
We're marking the yarn below cost at $40/skein.
It will be in the farm store starting today.

Updated hours for tomorrow! We are just too excited to be open again to only be open half a day.

Do you ever look at your photos and, after day later, see something unexpected?
I took this photo of Marvie yesterday.
And now I notice the upside down alpaca in the background.
She wasn't the focus of the photo, hence the missing head.
Somehow she has now totally stolen the photo.
Who is the flipped over photo one-upper?
It's our suoer silly, always eager to roll in the dirt, alpaca named Joy.
She is joyfully rolling!
Guess it's her Super Saturday.
Farm store open tomorrow, Sunday, August 23rd, 2026. 1 pm - 4 pm.

In the mornings, we feed the alpacas.
The alpacas crowd around. They jostle for space. There are moments of crowding, maybe some pushing, some vocalizations and sometimes even a little spitting.
I feed quickly and retreat.
Today I stopped to count the alpacas girls. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven.... wait. Where is eight?
Where is the 8th alpaca? They never disappear. And then I look... seems Nova thinks her new apple beats breakfast any day. She was determined!
Farm store open this Sunday, August 23rd, 2026 1 pm - 4 pm.
Have a Fabulous Fri-yay!

Leo.
Isn't Leo adorable?
Here he is, enjoying breakfast.
He's up at the crack of dawn, ready for his morning feast.
Always a gentleman.
He doesn't fight over food.
But you might not want to invite him over for dinner. He missed the memo on chewing with the mouth open.
We forgive him.
He just doesn't know.
Farm store is open this Sunday, August 23rd, 2026. 1 pm - 4 pm.

Do we take too many videos of George?
One minute we decide to show the other alpacas.
The next minute, there is George. Sitting there in the evening light. Being cute. One ear up, one ear down. What a goofy guy.
Come and see the goofy guy and his 13 other herdmates this Sunday. We'll be open Sunday, August 23rd, 2026. 1 pm - 4 pm. Check out our yarns, hats, dryer balls, needle felt animals and, of course, see the alpacas!
Have a Wonderful Wednesday.

Too dark Tuesday.
What do we see?
Is that an alpaca,
Looking at me?
Yes,
Yes it is.
In the dark shadows.
We see Zannah Du.
The camera had to be on night setting to find her.
But she was found, watching us in yhe dark.
Zannah was wondering why we were turning off her fans..
We explained that the evening was cool.
In cool evenings, the alpacas are encouraged to go outside and enjoy the fresh air.
We think that they loved the cool evening.
We know we liked the cool air!
Farm store open this Sunday, August 23rd, 2026. 1 pm - 4 pm.
Have a terrific Tuesday!
