Band Lessons

REMINDER
ILS Student Photo Day- Thursday, August 27th!

The students do not have to wear their school uniform on photo day. Choose a favorite outfit. Your students photo day outfit really makes a huge difference in their portrait (school guidlines apply). Show us your personality! Because we will be outside, we recommend NOT wearing white or neon colors as they become blown-out in the sunlight. If you wear transition glasses they will appear as sunglasses! We highly recommend not wearing transition lenses on photo day. If your child has transition glasses, their photos will be taken without glasses.

Remember, there are no pre-order forms. All orders and payments are placed online. Your online gallery provides an easy step by step process for viewing, choosing, and ordering your photos. You will know you love the photos when you place your order!

The photos will be online approximately 10 days to two weeks after our school photo day. Please be patient this is our busiest time of year! We want to make sure your photos are perfect. You will receive an email with your child's gallery link. Take a moment, right now, to add our email to your accepted list. There are email setting that can filter our email with your gallery link into your spam folder. To be sure you receive your photos add us now!

Once you receive your gallery link, view and select your photos right away! You can save on shipping fees. If you order within the first five days after receiving your photo gallery link, your photos will be delivered to school free of charge. After the five day deadline, all orders will be directly shipped to you with a shipping charge added to the order.

Connected in The Word 8-18-26
For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been thus destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall see God… Job 19:25-26

Today we welcome most of our students back to Immanuel (Pre-K will be back soon). Our school theme this year is “THIS I KNOW” and is rooted in Job 19:25-26. When my kids were little, and I was still in the classroom, I would often tell my kids and students, “I don’t know everything, but I do know some things.” I’ve applied this little phrase to just about every area of my life. I don’t know everything about what is in store for this day, this week, or this year, but I do know I have a staff meeting today, a funeral this week, and more theology classes this year.

“I don’t know everything, but I do know some things.” This applies to our lives as Christians as well. I don’t know everything about God, His creation, or why He works the way He does in my life and in the lives of others. But “THIS I KNOW” – Jesus lived, died, and rose for me! Jesus is LORD! He has forgiven my sins, redeemed me from the slimy pit, and given me new life. None of the trials in my life compare to those of Job, but even when life does throw me a curve ball, and even when nothing seems to make sense, I can confess with Job, “I KNOW THAT MY REDEEMER LIVES, AND AT THE LAST HE WILL STAND UPON THE EARTH. AND AFTER MY SKIN HAS BEEN THUS DESTROYED, YET IN MY FLESH I SHALL SEE GOD.”

If the students of Immanuel can graduate confessing, “I don’t know everything, but I do know some things!” I will be a happy camper. If the students of Immanuel can graduate confessing with Job, “I KNOW THAT MY REDEEMER LIVES, AND AT THE LAST HE WILL STAND UPON THE EARTH. AND AFTER MY SKIN HAS BEEN THUS DESTROYED, YET IN MY FLESH I SHALL SEE GOD.” – I will shout for joy, and praise God for the work He has accomplished in their lives!
