There is still another chance to see Matilda Jr today at BHS at 1pm presented by the BES Drama Club.

This show is directed by Elizabeth Kurpat a cluster school School Psychologist for Belvidere and Harmony. This is her 10th spring musical for BES. Throughout the last decade she has added improv and fall dramas to the BES Drama Club.

Assistant directing this show is Janine Adler a social worker for the Belvidere School district cluster. She has been helping out and managing tech crew and rehearsals for several years.

Don't miss these hard working students and these two staff members along with many other staff who have made this show possible.

Belvidere High School Drama Club will present Urinetown the Musical Friday March 10th at 7PM and Saturday March 11th at 1PM and 7PM at the Belvidere High school auditorium. The cast and crew of high school students have worked so hard. You do not want to miss this show this weekend.

The musical is directed by BHS staff member Stephanie Poirier of the English department. This will be her tenth musical she has directed at BHS. Before she directed she also choreographed eight musicals while in high school and college for BHS. On top of musicals she had directed ten fall drama/comedy plays for BHS.

The music director of this production is BHS staff member Adam Conti, choir teacher of the music department. This is his fourth musical at BHS.

We hope to see you out and supporting the performing arts in our district.

It’s the Holiday season, and this Tuesday, members of the BEA teamed up with the Good Will Fire Department for our annual Gift Shop for families in our community. Thank you to Good Will, Koch’s Kitchen, the Belvidere community, and our Seater family for making this event a success once again! Happy Holidays from your friends at the BEA!
