During the CDE/Talent Session of the Convention, four Belvidere FFA Members received H.O. Sampson Outstanding Achievement Awards, which recognize members who place 1st-5th place during the practical portion of Career Development Events throughout the year. Those recognized were:

Jaylee Belstra - 1st Place: Dairy Cattle Evaluation
Cole Tjalma - 2nd Place: Land Judging

President Carolyn Bilyk and Vice President Jada Larsen accepted awards on their behalf.

During the 4th Session, Belvidere FFA Members Ashley Postma and Andrew Duckworth were recommended by the New Jersey FFA Association to the National FFA Organization for the American FFA Degree.

The American FFA Degree is the highest honor an active member can achieve in the National FFA Organization. Awarded to less than 1% of members annually, the American FFA Degree recognizes exceptional Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE), outstanding scholastic performance, and significant community.

After Degree Confirmation in July, Ashley and Andrew are set to become the 16th and 17th members of the Belvidere FFA Chapter to receive the American FFA Degree in the Chapter’s 85-year history.

Congratulations to all of our members for a successful year!
