PGCPS schools and offices will be closed Friday, January 19. There will be a two-hour delay for emergency personnel.

A decision on Saturday athletics and facilities use is forthcoming.

High School Visual and Performing Arts auditions will be rescheduled for Saturday, February 3.

For Wednesday, January 17, all schools and offices will open with a two-hour delay. A Code Orange is in effect for all employees. EMERGENCY PERSONNEL must report to work on time and are not eligible for liberal leave.

Additionally, all after school activities and athletics are canceled.

-There will be no work-study transportation. (Those students should not report to school.)
-There will be no half-day Early Childhood Center (ECC), half-day Special Education Programs, or half-day PreK.
-Any other school program requiring transportation prior to 12 noon will NOT have transportation, including Howard B. Owens Science Center, JA Finance Park, and William S. Schmidt Center (Camp Schmidt)
-All field trips will be canceled.
-Food Services will offer breakfast.

Important Update: Due to the PGCPS network outage, High Point’s tenth grade student ID session scheduled for tonight (08/14/23) has been cancelled. Information about a make-up session is forthcoming.

Does your child need to take courses this summer? Did your child get a D in English, science, math, or social studies and needs some help? Is your child taking an AP course next year and needs to prepare? Does your child need help learning English?

We have the FREE program for you! High Point is offering extending learning opportunities for:
* students who earned a 60-65% in a math, science, English, or social studies course
* students in ESOL classes
* students taking Advanced Placement courses in the fall

These programs will run from June 28 to July 9.

We are also offering summer school at High Point (in person only) from June 28 to July 30 for students who need credits for promotion or graduation.
