Music classes and performance are challenging these days due to concerns of aerosols. I’d like to share a new way of doing music teaching, rehearsals and performances using EasyVirtualChoir.com - SAFE, EASY, FUN and FREE!
The software aligns audio/video tracks automatically and generates virtual performance videos instantly. Users have created videos for choir, band, orchestra, various musical instruments, music lessons, rehearsals, virtual concerts, auditions, recitals, music festivals, singing with sign language, skit, drama, dancing, foreign language learning, SEL programs, birthday and other celebrations etc., or simply for fun with friends and family.

After the pledge and invocation led by Jim Odom for Associate Commissioner - Cass County a delicious lunch was catered by Katie's Catering for over 60 guests and members. What a great meeting today with almost 90 RSVP’s! Thank you to Jeff Davis Mayor City of Belton, MO, Government and Belton Economic Development Director Carolyn Yatsook for presenting the State of the City to our Chamber members and Belton citizens today at Belton Parks and Recreation Memorial Station. The presentation was videoed by 2A Marketing and will be posted on the City and Chamber website soon. Kneader's Bakery and Cafe Belton,mo catered a delicious lunch and everything that was left over was donated to the Belton Missouri Police Department. Congratulations to the winners in a business card drawing of 2 beautiful and unique fall colored poinsettias from Hy-Vee. Board President Lisa Peek Peek Insurance Agency - Farmers Insurance announced 4 new Chamber members in October - Aldi, Braces By Billings, JULEZ Couture Fashions, and The Corner Boutique, and gave an update on the success of our last 2 events - the Holiday Extravaganza and the Turkey Bowl. Lisa thanked Executive Director Diane Huckshorn and Assistant Lori Kirkland for their work on the biggest ever Holiday Extravaganza allowing the Chamber to donate $1,250 to the Mayor’s Christmas Tree fund and Karen Tippit Fletcher Karen Fletcher - Belton School Board of Education Fletchers Forms for all her hard work on chairing the annual Turkey Bowl which raised $2,500 for our Belton School District #124 scholarship fund. Finally, a big thank you to all of our members and guests who joined us today.

Outdoor Education Center at Cambridge Elementary School Multi Sonsory Books at Grace; glow in the dark lights at Kentucky Trail Elementary and a Podcast at Hillcrest STEAM Academy. I have been a member of the Belton School Board of Education since April. Since I filled a vacant seat, I will be running for re-election again this year. I have attended many function in the past 10 months to help me better understand the needs of our students and what my role as a board member is. I believe that the number one issue in our schools is the education of our students.
I appreciate your support and will continue to bring your needs and concerns to the board.
There have been several requests for us to look into the under one mile rule for walking to school vs riding the bus. I wanted to let you know that the bus issue was talked about at last week's board meeting. We will be looking into what can be done. I do want you to know that whatever we can accomplish, it most likely will not be able to be changed for this school year. I believe that the student are our number one concern and will continue to support this issue.
