SBMS theatre alumni Anaise doing amazing things!!! We are so proud of you ♥️

Yesterday, students from SBMS, NBMS, and BMS spent the day at Jr. thespian festival taking workshops such as choreography, improv, absurdism, stage combat, costume design, and playwriting! We also got to see a performance by Austin high school’s theatre 1 and 2 classes. We are excited to go back next year!

Today was a great day of theatre! Congratulations to every school for putting on some fabulous shows today!

SBMS ended the day with:
3 honorable mention acting awards: Sabre Isdale, Lilian Frazier, and Marcus Hernandez
3 all star cast acting awards: Elle Pearson, Jaiden Alvarez, and Ciara Patridge
An all star tech award: Emily Rodas Cruz

And 2nd place overall!!!

Congratulations to the 22-23 JV and Varsity Production Companies! We are so excited to create magic with you! We will have a parent meeting at 6:00 on May 10th in the Little Theatre, see you and your adult there!

Advanced Theatre class showcase TONIGHT at 6!! Doors open at 5:45! Free admission! Donations to the theatre department encouraged but not required.

A few actors from advanced theatre prepared a quick group scene performance to introduce 6th grade ELA’s drama unit today! Bonus: getting to perform for Ms. Jackson’s 7th grade ELA lab class to discuss cause and effect. Core subjects and theatre go hand in hand!

Current 8th graders who are transitioning into the high school theatre program, BHS theatre is having a social this summer!

We are having a Picnic Social on June 18th at Heritage Park! Bring a game or snacks if you’d like! Incoming freshman joining the program are more than welcome to join us as we bond together on this sunny afternoon!
