On Friday, the Scott & White School of Nursing participated in our third New CRU Orientation (NCO) of the year and our first orientation that welcomed both freshman and transfer students together. It was a wonderful opportunity for our newest nursing students to connect with one another, meet faculty and staff, and begin building the foundation for a successful journey at UMHB.

The excitement, questions, and enthusiasm in the room were a great reminder of why we do what we do. We are thrilled to welcome these future nurses to the Scott & White School of Nursing and look forward to supporting them as they learn, grow, and serve others.

A weekend to remember for our Scott & White School of Nursing graduates 🎓🩺

On Friday afternoon, our graduates participated in their Pinning Ceremony—a meaningful tradition that recognizes the dedication, perseverance, and commitment required to complete nursing school and begin a career in healthcare. Receiving the nursing pin symbolizes not only academic achievement, but also the transition into the nursing profession and the responsibility to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.

Yesterday, we celebrated as our graduates officially crossed the stage at commencement, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.

Congratulations to our May 2026 nursing graduates! We are excited to see the impact you will make as the next generation of nurses. 💜💛
