Dear Band Parents,

Hello! Just a reminder to please fill out the Everything Day Form (https://forms.gle/h8k9z7Ay8hGggisT9), along with the forms on the band website (https://sbmsband.net/forms/). Please have these forms filled out by Tuesday, August 4th so we can place orders and have supplies ready for when the school year begins.

School-Owned Instruments

The instrument reservation list is also active under the forms section. https://goo.gl/forms/HuN0fcOoBM48REP82 Any student planning to borrow an instrument from the school should fill this out ASAP. It is first come, first served based on the number of instruments we have available to loan out. You will not be able to pick up the instruments until the school year begins.

We are busy making plans for an exciting and safe school year. I cannot wait to make music with you very soon!

REMINDER Band Instrument Drop Off

NOW is the time if you haven't signed up for a time for our school-owned instrument drop off this Wednesday or Thursday between 3:00-7:00pm. Remember we need all of these instruments dropped off at the back Band Hall door in order to be checked into our system, cleaned/sanitized, and evaluated for summer repair.

While it is not necessary to sign up for a time if you are only dropping off the instrument, we wanted to make sure you have received this message as confirmation that you will be coming on one of the two days at the times listed above. Please email Mr. Pulley that you have received this message.

If you student needs to come into the building to clean out their locker, please sign up for a time at the link below ASAP. Students are required to wear a face mask if they are coming into the building, and will only be allowed in one at a time. Anything left in students' lockers after 7:00pm this Thursday will be thrown away permanently. The directors would prefer that the students take personal responsibility and clean out their own lockers, but we understand if parents do not feel comfortable with their student coming in the building.


Eighth graders who have ordered an 8th grade shirt or hoodie should sign up for a time above since these have already been placed in their respective locker.

Unfortunately due to the pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Spring Trip for this school year. Money that students have fundraised will stay at their respective schools, and will be used for student awards and other band expenses.

If you are a parent of a current 6th or 7th grade band student, you should have heard them practicing their End-of-Year Placement Audition Etude by now. Remember that video recordings are due to students' respective band director no later than this Friday, April 17 via Google Classroom or Schoology. All current 6th and 7th grade band students are required to participate so we can adequately access each student's musical skills mastered from this school year. Students should submit only one video recording on Google Classroom or Schoology no later than Friday, April 17 at 11:59pm. Audition results are final and will be made available to students and parents on Monday, April 27. Email your director if you have any questions.
